You hear 'have a green tea, it's amazing for you'. Is it?
I am a massive fan of drinking green tea, roughly having around 3 cups a day.
The main reason I started drinking this many years ago was due to its apparent many health benefits I had been hearing about. This was all before I became a personal trainer, working in a sports centre.
When I took my career to the next level and became a self employed personal trainer, I took it upon myself to learn a lot more about the benefits green tea gives.
Weight Loss - The extracts from the tea leaves helps increase the bodies metabolism, speeding up the rate of turning your food into calories.
- It helps regulate the blood sugar level which prevents high spikes of insulin being released which results in fat storage.
- Scientists have studied that green tea helps relax the blood vessel walls, resulting in more resistance and preventing heart disease.
- Depression. Theanine is an amino acid naturally found in tea leaves. It is this substance that is thought to provide a relaxing and tranquilizing effect and be a great benefit to tea drinkers.
- Green tea can also help with skincare, assisting with wrinkles and signs of aging.
These are just a few major key points of Green Tea.
